Alicia D. of Minneapolis used to eat a lot of the wrong things. Pastries, ice cream, nuts, popcorn, candy and chocolate were her mainstays, but not anymore. “I have been in several situations recently where my trigger foods were around, but now have the tools I need to stay abstinent,” she said.
Alicia gained those tools at the COR Retreat Food Addiction Recovery Program in Wayzata, Minn. “At the COR Retreat, I finally came to the realization that the only way to deal with the issues in my life in a healthy way is to avoid eating my trigger foods,” she said.
Since learning how to stay abstinent to foods containing sugar and white flour, Alicia has started shedding the extra pounds that have plagued her for years, and says she feels better than she has in a longtime.
